  1. Note 1: CHE – Catastrophic health expenditure; HH- Households; GPs- General Practitioners; Spec.- Specialists
  2. Note 2: Zero (0) means that the service in question accounts for 0% of total health care expenditure (for example, 0 for ‘Consultations’ in the column ‘Median weight’ in 2005/06 means that at least 50% of families incurring CHE did not spend on medical consultations in this period); 0.13 for ‘GPs’ in the column ‘3rd quartile weight’ in 2015/16 means that in this period 75% of households with CHE used up to 13% of their health care payments to pay for GP consultations –it also means that the remainder 25% of households incurring CHE spent more than 13% of their total payments on GP consultations. The value of 1 means that the service in question represents 100% of out-of-pocket expenditures (for example, 1 for ‘Medicines’ in the column ‘Maximum weight’ means that some households incurring CHE spent on medicines alone – in 2005/06, this happened to 35.5% of households with CHE)
