The Integrated Health Model (IHM) is the conceptual framework the researcher developed and used. This model adopts elements from different theories. Each of these theories point at the importance of socio-cultural context in people’s behavior: the socio-anthropological model of healthcare systems [28], the sociological model [6, 16, 18, 19, 37], with a specific focus on the social capital theory [46].
